John Kloewer was married to Veronica Guderjahn, (b.7/28/1865) daughter of Gottlieb (1832-1919) and Matezena Stipzinski Guderjahn. (1835-1912). Gottlieb was from Germany; Matezena came from Poland. They came to the United States with their four children: Otto, Frank, Mary who married Wendell Koppold, and Veronica-about the year 1869. John and Veronica were married June 15, 1891, at St.Boniface Church. They were the parents of eight children: Rosalia, (10/2/1892-6/I/1988) who married Al Schiltz . They had no children. Frank, (9/26/18949/11/1974) who married Anna Rau, 10 children. Gottlieb, (11/9/1896-12/30/1984) who married Eleanor Rau, 10 children. Veronica, (8/3/1898-10/5/1971), who married Tony Rau, eight children. Otto, (6/5/190112/18/1988) married Clara Goetzinger, 10 children. A baby girl (no name given) died shortly after birth, around the year 1902. Anna, (6/5/1904-2/21/1981) married Tony Kloewer, seven children. Hubert, (6/15/19078/9/1970) married Luella Schechinger, three children. John and Veronica are buried in the Westphalia as are their parents.
John, born August 2, 1863, was 23 years old when he came to the United States. The family stayed a short time in Chicago before moving to Western Iowa.
