Elaine Isphording Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of Elaine M. Isphording, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Western Hills Nursing & Rehab Center, at the age of 78.

Elaine was born on January 1, 1941 in Hamilton, Ohio to Glen and Viola (nee Hoffman) Schuster. She graduated from college with art degree which she went to work for Gibson Greeting Cards. That is where she met her future husband John R. "Jack" Isphording. They were blessed with 2 children: Scott and Michele. Elaine was a great artist and created many cards while working at Gibson Greeting Cards, however her best work in life was being a mom to Scott and Michele. She enjoyed being outside gardening and mowing her lawn.


Elaine was preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Isphroding in 2000; her parents: Glen and Viola Schuster and her sister: JoAnn Sloneker.

Her legacy lives on in her children: Scott and his wife Shelly Isphording, and Michele and her husband Jay Gramke; also with her wonderful grandchildren: Samuel Adams, Mia Gramke, Erika and Gunnar Isphording. She is also survived by nieces and nephews from the Isphording and Sloneker families.

Elaine married John (Jack) Robert ISPHORDING, son of Carl Adolf ISPHORDING and Marjorie (Margaret) SCHRECK, on 8 Jun 1968 in Hamilton, Butler, OH, USA. (John (Jack) Robert ISPHORDING was born on 16 Apr 1928 in Kentucky, USA, christened on 22 Apr 1928 and died on 16 Nov 2000 in Cheviot, Hamilton, OH, USA.)
