Barbara, I don't know if this will help, but I know of an ISPHORDING marriage in the Parish Register of St. Mary's Cath. Church in Newark NJ, recorded on Microfilm FHL 1398595.
On 20 Apr 1846 Johannes Everardus PRENTELER married Maria Theresia ISPHORDING. Bride and groom were from Attendorn. The marriage was witnessed by Anselmus, Antonius, and Josephus Isphording.
The couple had a daughter, Carolina Theresia PRENTELER (b. 27 Feb 1849), whose godparents were Josephus Isphording + Theresia Herschede.
